The Thinning Justification for Democrats’ Health Care Reform

leave a comment »

Americans are hardening against the Democrats’ health care reform, and the ranks of ex-Democrats are swelling.  Do the President or the Democratic Congress really think people believe them anymore when they say they are doing this because it’s what the people want?  (In fact, Obama seems to have abandoned suggesting that he’s doing this because Americans want it—instead, he insists it’s “because the American people need it now,” along the lines of Eric Massa, because aristocrats know what’s best for the rest of us.)  Is it not evident by now that health care reform is part of larger, insidious strategy to put more and more of private life under the jurisdiction of bureaucrats?
