Michael Moore: “Capitalism Did Nothing for Me”

In a recent interview concerning his new movie, Capitalism: A Love Story, Michael Moore said “capitalism did nothing for me.”  The video is over at Hot Air.  But Moore isn’t smart enough to know that in that very interview, he admitted that capitalism did in fact allow him to make his films, make his fortune, and, as he put it “get the truth out there”:

“In fact, in Fahrenheit 9/11 if you remember, capitalism, the Disney Corporation, tried to kill that film–tried to make it so that people couldn’t see it,” said Moore. “My book Stupid White Men–Harper Collins tried to kill that book so that people couldn’t see it. It’s only because I put the light of day on it and told people what was going on did people get the chance to see these things.”

Who wants to explain to Moore the difference between something being hard to do, and something being made flat-out illegal?  If the state, rather than Disney or Harper Collins, as Moore claims, wanted to shut Moore down, you better believe he’d have been shut down.
